Clare Furness - Fundraising Sep 2010

A message from Clare Furness, Daughter of Richard Furness (Founder of the 400 League)

I am raising funds to help the fight against Motor Neurone Disease, the illness with which my Dad suffered back in 2004.

At the beginning of September I am tackling a 330km cycle between London and Paris, an event which is bringing together 2 things close to my heart:

1) raising money for a charity which supports people such as my Dad and which continues to strive to find a cause and cure for the disease
2) the Tour de France cycle race which my Dad introduced me to around 25 years ago, and which I have enjoyed following ever since.

I feel fortunate to have received the backing of many individuals from the national chess scene over recent months.
With my Dad also being greatly involved with chess at a local level I was wondering whether there may be people within the Warrington League who might like to make a donation to my campaign.

If you could perhaps goto my online fundraising page at justgiving.com/clares-tourdefrance I would be very grateful.

Many thanks,

Clare
